Components
DiCon's Filter Tap Coupler is constructed using DiCon
Cylindrical Filter WDM packaging technology. The component
uses a thin film filter mounted between a pair of GRIN lens
collimators. DiCon's Filter Tap Coupler is housed in a compact,
environmentally stable package that offers superior resistance
to humidity and temperature and is suitable for mounting
within a line interface or amplifier gain module.

Applications
Filter Tap Couplers tap a fixed percentage of light fr om a
transmission line with very low excess loss over a wide wavelength
range. The signal is used for optical channel monitoring, optical
power monitoring, signal-to-noise ratio measurements, or bit er r or
rate measurements.
