Materials
Soldering iron with minimum 700ºF, small chisel point
Desoldering pump
Solder wire, preferably ROSIN CORE 60/40
Wire stripper and wire-wrap/jumper wires
Two 28-pin IC sockets, 600mils (optional)
Two 32K x 8 SRAMIDT71256, CYPRESS CY7C198, or equivalent; 70ns (or faster) access time
Hardware Procedure
1. Desolder and remove U19 and U23 (8K x 8 SRAMS).
2. Desolder and remove R25 and R16 (4.7K resistors).
3. Optional: Insert a 28-pin (600 mils) IC socket each on U19 and U23, then solder.
4. Insert one each of 32K x 8 SRAM to U19 and U23. Solder if not socketed.
5. Make the following jumper wire connections:
a. U191 to U231 to U2216 (A13).
b. U1926 to U2326 to U2215 (A14).
Software Procedure
1. In the Z8ICE Program Group, copy the Z8ICE icon to the same program group. (Drag the Z8ICE icon
to the side while pressing the CTRL key.)
2. Select the copied Z8ICE icon and open up the
Properties
dialog box from the
File
menu to modify the
