This integrated assembly is used as a source in space-
borne Beacon Transmitters. The unit first generates a
UHF signal which is processed at the system level and
then fed back into a second port where it is multiplied
to the final C-Band frequency.
The stable signal is derived from one of two switched
SC-cut OCXOs for superior reliability. The transistor
type multiplier section includes a combination of
lumped element and combline filters.
