Product Description
3 M™PSTH tubing is a high performance,
rugged heat shrinkable tubing designed
for harsh operating conditions. T h e
tubing is made from flexible elastomeric
polyester and has a continuous operating
temperature range of -55°C (-70°F) to
150°C (302°f). PSTH is resistant to a
wide range of solvents and chemicals
including aviation fuel, diesel fuel,
lubricating oils and hydraulic fluid. 3M
PSTH tubing is specifically designed to
pass the SC-X15111C military
specification but also meets the
functional requirements of MIL-DTL-
2 3 0 5 3 / 1 6 .

Typical Applications
3M PSTH tubing is primarily designed
for wire harnessing applications on
military ground vehicles. It was primarily
developed for the M-1 tank program, but
is well suited for any application where
conditions call for a high performance
heat shrink tubing, particularly where the
tubing will be exposed to petroleum
based fluids. PSTH is also an excellent
choice for heavy duty equipment and of f -
road vehicles.
Shrink Ratio
3M PSTH tubing has a 2:1 shrink ratio.
When freely recovered, the tubing will
shrink to 50% of its as-supplied internal
d i a m e t e r. The recovered wall thickness is
proportional to the degree of recovery.

Ordering Information
Order PSTH Tubing by product name,
size equivalent to the expanded inside
d i a m e t e r, package type and color. A l w a y s
order the largest size that will shink
snugly over the component to be
covered.
Example: PSTH, 3/8", black, spools.
