The Bookham Technology terra-Q narrowband
filter product line is based on thin-film interference
technology. These filters are produced with
Bookham Technology’s proprietary Advanced
Energetic Deposition (AED) III technology.
terra-Q 100 filters
Bookham Technology offers a range of filtering solutions for
100GHz channel spacing. One grouping of specifications is
intended for mux/demux applications where transmission
and reflection loss are key parameters. Higher performance
versions are available for optical add and drop multiplexing
where deeper reflection notches are required in order to
reduce coherent cross-talk.
Wide-Top Versions
In many applications, it is desirable to have an increased
width pass band. This provides several application benefits:
Better cascadability of filters.
Lower Chromatic Dispersion near the filter’s
center wavelength
Additional passband width to accommodate high
modulation bandwidth sources or chirped lasers.
Variable or Fixed Angle of Incidence
The lowest cost solution uses a variable angle of incidence
package and a wider center wavelength tolerance. Fixed
angle of incidence solutions are available with customer
specified center wavelength tolerance.
