General Description
The EL15 20C is a co mbination of a very low pow er line driver and
very low noise receiver designed for central office and customer
premise line driving for DMT ADSL solutions. The driver feat ures a
high drive capabili ty of 360mA and a ±5 to ±12V supply range. This
drive r ac hieve s a typ ical distor t ion of le ss t han -75d Bc, at 1MH z into a
50Ω load. The receiver achieves ultra low voltage and current noise
s pec ifi ca ti ons of 1. 9n V/ √Hz and 1.1pA/√Hz. This transceiver is opti-
mum for very low power dissipation applications using active
termination techniques. EL1520C is availabl e in the 20 -pin TSSOP-
EP (w ith exposed pa d) package as well as a 24 -pin LPP package. Both
are speci fied for operation over the full -40° C to + 85°C temperature
range.
The EL1520C has separate supply pins for the driver and receiver sec-
tions. This allows optimization of the supply voltages for each
fu nction at minimal power dissipat ion.
