■Features

1. Compact

Low profile with package height of 5.8 mm (SMT straight type).

DIP straight type: 5.3 mm, DIP right-angle type: 3.6 mm. For

details, see "APPLICATION" on page 52.

2. Multi-pin

Double-row type available with up to 40 pins, 30% higher

packaging density than single-row type.

3. Compatible with automatic packaging

Vacuum-operated header allows automatic embossed packaging.

See Fig. 1.

Can be packed in magazines for delivery.

4. Enhanced functions packed into compact unit

Box construction prevents prying-out, completely preventing mis-

insertion.

In addition, the SMT-compatible headers are reinforced to prevent

separation of the solder connection.

❖Notes on use

1. Recommended temperature

profile (SMT)

Note 1: You can solder a product up to two times under the same conditions, provided that

the product is allowed to cool back to room temperature before the second soldering.

Note 2: The above temperature refers to the board surface temperature of the connector lead.

2. Recommended soldering Soldering iron temperature: 290±10˚C, soldering time: less than 3 seconds

4. Warp in board (SMT) 0.03 mm or less at the center of the connector with the connector ends as the reference.

5. Recommended soldering ■Reflow conditions by automatic soldering machine: Soldering temperature: 250± 5˚C,

condition (DIP) for 3 seconds or less.

■Manual soldering conditions : Soldering iron temperature: 290±10˚C,

soldering time: 2 second or less.

6. Cleaning conditions See "GUIDE TO HIROSE NYLON CONNECTORS."

7. Connecting conditions See "GUIDE TO HIROSE NYLON CONNECTORS."

■Because the crimp terminals are very small, use utmost care when crimping them in

accordance with the"Crimping conditions list" and "Crimping quality standards."

8. PRECAUTIONS ■When inserting or extracting the connectors, do not pry them forcibly, to prevent them from

beging damaged.
