NETCONNECT Category 5e shielded and unshielded SL 110 jacks are desi gned for i nstallation into
various outlet plates, surface mount boxes, panels, and other similar type fittings. Jacks incorporate IDC
ter minals f or termi nating both shiel ded or unshielded tw isted pair communications cable and wil l
accommodate 22 - 24 AWG solid and 24 AWG stranded conductors. T he maximum conductor
i nsulation diameter is 1.27 mm [.050 in].

2. SUMMARY OF TESTING
2.1. Attenuation
Att enuation was tested to t he requir ements of ANSI/T IA/EIA- 568-B.2, paragraph 5.4.2.
2.2. Near End Cr osstalk ( NEXT )
NEXT w as tested to the requirements of ANSI/T IA/EIA- 568-B.2, paragraph 5.4.3.
2.3. Retur n Loss
Retur n loss was tested to the requirements of ANSI/T IA/EIA- 568-B.2, paragraph 5.4.4.
2.4. Far End Cr osstalk ( FEXT )
FEXT w as tested to the requirements of ANSI/T IA/EIA- 568-B.2, paragraph 5.4.5.
2.5. Propagat ion Del ay
Propagat ion del ay was tested to the requirements of ANSI/TI A/EIA-568- B.2, paragraph 5.4.6.
2.6. Propagat ion Del ay Skew
Propagat ion del ay skew w as tested to the requir ements of ANSI/TIA/EIA-568-B.2, paragraph 5.4.7.
3. TEST METHODS
3.1. Attenuation
The attenuation of all four -conductor pairs was measured from both ends in accordance with ASTM
D4566-98, paragraph 26. Losses due to refl ection, radiat ion, etc. were assumed to be part of the
attenuation.

3.2. Near End Cr osstalk ( NEXT )
NEXT M easurements were made between the six combinati ons of the four-conductor pairs fr om both
ends i n accordance with ASTM D4566-98, paragraph 24.
3.3. Retur n Loss
Retur n loss measurements were made on al l four -conductor pairs from both ends in accordance with
ASTM D4566-98, par agraph 45.
3.4. Far End Cr osstalk ( FEXT )
FEXT w as measured on twelve permutations of four-conductor pairs from one end only, in accordance
with AST M D4566-98, paragraph 25.
3.5. Propagat ion Del ay
Propagat ion del ay was computed in accordance with AST M D4566-98, paragraph 40.
3.6. Propagat ion Del ay Skew
Propagat ion del ay skew w as computed in accordance with ASTM D4566- 98, paragraph 40.
