Secured with a single twist.
The Lapp range of Skintop® cable glands are constructed from a
tough nylon compound and offer many advantages over
conventional brass stuffing glands. They are now used in substantial
volumes on panels, switches, control equipment and within the
machine tool industry.
The New Skintop® gland features a unique patented anti-vibration
lock. This prevents the cable from coming loose when subject to
vibration eg. in electric motors.
A specially developed multi entry thread means that installation can
be completed up to five times more quickly than conventional glands
- requiring only one twist to fix, centre and protect the cable.
Sealing to BS 5420 IP68 Bar 5, the Skintop® offers a seal that is
dust proof and water tight, enabling it to be used in a wide variety of
dry or wet industrial environments.

Material: tough nylon gland
Colour: Grey RAL 7001 Neoprene bush,
and black RAL 9005
Standards: Seals to IP68 Bar 5 (IEC144,
BS5420), glands to VDE, UL, CSA
and SEV.
Temperature
range: static: -40°C to +100°C
Thread Type: PG or ISO metric
Other colours are available, and can be made to
order.
